One of my favourites but had some renovations so might have to go. 😢😢😢
Oh no @rosegardengirl 😕
One of the ones I planted in the garden has been flowering for a couple of weeks now.
@rosegardengirl that's a shame.
@brightcolours I envy your climate for my tropicals
And I enjoy your selection of garden plants!

Tough love here = only just showing signs of new growth…
Yes @brightcolours they are deciduous here in Sydney and start flowering late summer
What’s your lowest temperature during winter? It’s about 7C up here.
@brightcolours it can get to 2c on the odd occasion

I didn’t know the “ginger” plants had so many really beautiful plants. Love this purple!!!😊
Thank you @terrimclaughlin I love it too. Although this has the common name of blue ginger, it is not a ginger but more relaxed to the wandering jew and tradescantia 😊

A showstopper!! #dichorisandrathyrsiflora
Another "must have"!!
Thank you @brightcolours @latebloomer @MTurner. Debra no this is not perfumed nor edible it actually is not related to any gingers
@latebloomer we are all learning all the time, that's what is so great about gardening. These are deciduous perennials so you might get away with a sheltered position. The common name is what confuses a lot of people
I like this def on my wish list doing a bit of garden reno so i have a space for it now.😊
They are great and fuss free @errolly
Don't feel embarrassed for sure Deborah! @latebloomer, I'm a newbie at this too. You can read books all day but, the best practical info comes from experience, you have to talk to people who've done it they know. I was going to ask if it was edible, but you beat me to it. You guys are up a little earlier then us
@lesliecole49 @latebloomer there's a lot of stuff I don't know too 😀😊
I've really only had the opportunity in the last 10 years Deborah, and mostly houseplants and small plots at the few places available. I just bought a big never gardened yard with huge potential and years of practice ahead of me. @latebloomer @nej and I will be doing very little vegetables.
