I'm disabled so I've decided to keep this little guy in my room permanently. I placed it next to my aerogaarden and it started sprouting new leaves which works out because I wanted to grow this one as a treat for my tortoises 😅

If you're growing tortoise food then an Opuntia ficus-indica is a must have! You can get them unrooted for suuuuper cheap online, like around $4 for a pad or two. They're super easy to root & care for, but need a lot of sun or a strong grow light!

@beatnikcrab That's the spineless nopal cactus pads, right? I tried growing a couple pads last fall but my dad "thinks" he saw some bugs and killed my original garden with insecticide while I was in the hospital. I bought 20 pads that I unfreeze as necessary but I do plan to plant some freshly ordered pads once I get a grow light!! 🌵🌵🌵

Yep, that's them! Oh man, that's extreme measures! 😂 Your dad knows they're useless as food once they're loaded with insecticides, right? 🤣 Good luck with the new crop! ✌️😁
