Some nasty what looked like red slime mold, which I read was harmless, was growing on the onion bed. It's since dried up now releasing spores. If this is something else please let me know

@nickyd513 Wow your onions are so big. I have just started some from seed they just sprouted.

The yellow and red onions I started from sets a little while back. There were about 30 each for a few dollars so worth it to get a head start.
