When is the best time to take this out of the container and transplant into the garden?

I was bought this by my colleagues when I left my job last year. The tag says "Prunus (Cherry) Stella" I initially planted it into a big tub as hubby and I were considering moving house. We have now decided to stay where we are therefore now want to plant the tree in the garden. I have what I think will be the perfect place for it but when is the best time to move it?
