Got a couple Chinese evergreens a couple weeks ago! I don’t think they’ve been overwatered or given too much light, what do you think is causing the bottom leaves to lose their color and droop? I’m not as good at telling what’s going on with other plants as I am with succulents!
Thanks for the tag @lovestogarden! The pot looks much too small to support this much growth. Some plants can only sustain a certain number of leaves, before the lower ones start to suffer. My best guess is that it's horribly root bound.
@KariSamuel thank you so much! I repotted it into a pot slightly larger than the one I bought it in but I’ll look into finding a new, bigger, pot for it!
I think you will be surprised to see what the root system looks like! Post a picture when you remove it... tag me! Glad I could help! Most common causes of potted plants are over or under watering, insufficient lighting, poor drainage or being rootbound! 🌱
