@njquantock You did a great job then but what happened to it?

Overwhelmed with black spot last year and most of the leaves came off so it needed treating. I also took a cutting which seems pretty healthy and now has a couple of buds now.

@midnightgardener Aphids are bountiful on 🌹 buds. I’ve sprayed with water containing the smallest amount of detergent. But I’ve now got an artist’s paint brush and brushed them off each bud - unconventional. Last year it was black spot!
