Strongly considering repotting this into a bigger pot and just letting it lay on the soil to see if it roots from the stem. I didn’t have much luck with the cuttings that I bought previously, so I’m not really wanting to take cuttings just yet lol. #braunsia-maximiliani #braunsia #succulent #succulentsunday

Put it in a Hanging Pot. Should look Nice

I think I need to up the grit in this ones soil and water it more often. Somehow it is still alive. A crawfish even incorporated part of it into it’s hole lol #succulent #braunsia-maximiliani

Will look nice in a hanging Pot. Beautiful Plant

@gauravsh6 Thank you! I eventually do want to put this in a hanging basket. Right now it is in a 2 in pot so I'm scared the wind will take it. Perhaps in the future I will take some cuttings and try to propegate it, but I have purchased cuttings of these before and killed them really quickly. I think they had arrived frost damaged though so IDK. Just going to wait until I figure out exactly what this guy likes before I try that lol. It was not easy for me to get this D:

I had to do it the old fashioned mail order way and whew, not looking forward to that again haha

Succulents are easy to propograte but they take a whole lot of more time for new growth. Hence you need a lot more patience. I have 2 of my Succulents in 1-2 inches Pots and they are not easy to manage. Problem with small pots is that the surface area for watering is pretty less hence plant can die with over watering or under watering. If the roots are firmly established plants would not normally fly off. I have seen for plants which have been atleast 1 yr in the same Pots post purchase 😊

@gauravsh6 I am not worried about the plant flying out I am worried about the entire pot being blown away. These guys are pretty well rooted I just want to change up the soil because I feel like it might be slightly too organic. This needs frequent waterings so I don't want the organic material sitting around wet and rotting. I have noticed a few yellowed leaves and am a tad concerned. I do love propagating! It does take a long time, but I find it so rewarding!

Should I put this guy in a bigger pot? I think it will be ok for now. Thoughts? #braunsia-maximiliani #succulent #mesembs

I think you're ok, unless there's alot more root than plant

@lesliecole49 thanks for the input. The roots are quite large, but they fit in with a bit of room. I think I’ll wait for it to get a tad rootbound before I repot
