The bigger of the two Epiphyllums is getting the head planter. It was root bound. This planter is a tad bigger. I know they bloom more readily when root bound though. I wonder how long I’ll have to wait for them now. 🤔

@courtneylove thanks! It it was a gift. 😁 I have been waiting for the perfect plant to put in here and I think this is it! I’m hoping it kind of fills out and looks like crazy hair. 💚💚💚

The lady that sold this to me told me this is a day blooming cereus that makes white blooms that are smaller than the night blooming cereus she also sold me. The night blooming one is the smaller one in the hanging pot. I’m not sure if I have the ID right and what I should put the other one under lol.

@gauravsh6 I went back today and asked her. She showed me pictures of the mother plants in bloom. They have different flowers. I did some reading and there are Epiphyllums that have blooms that open at night but stay open all day. Perhaps she thinks these are day blooming because of that. The picture she showed me of the mother plant was taken during the day. Either it was really early and the lighting was just amazing, or the picture was taken in the middle of the day. 🤔

Yes you are right. Epiphyllum Crenatum is one of the hybrid ones that blooms during night and keeps blooms for daytime too. All the best 😊
