A few day lilies for #floriferousfriday .

Our first day lily flower has opened this morning. This year there are very many more to come, unlike last year which was dreadfully disappointing.

Still a couple of new flowers appearing on the day lilies!

#advice Can anyone explain what's wrong with this? Second flowering head doing the same.

I don't know. Interested in the answer though. Sometimes I have roses that do that.

I've had similar with my Dahlia and Aquilegia...I had terrible blackfly on the Dahlia, so thought it was that but not in the Aquilegia - wondered if it was the mulch I used last Autumn - too strong..?

What makes hemerocallis buds do this? #advice please

Could be gall midge apparently, they make the buds deform/small and then they go mouldy inside - I will tag you in a post about them
