Growing through an old #apple #tree

That looks lovely and I'm wondering if we could do that with our old Apple tree which has a very open centre. Does it need a great deal of watering because it's by a tree?

Hi @atomica ...that would depend on your soil, and on how close to the tree you plant it. Usually its hard to plant one too close to a mature tree because of the roots, but plant it 3' away, and make sure its well watered for the first year, well fed, and watered during dry spells. Then it will be happy! :)
