I don't know what's happened to this alstromeria but this is what's left after deadheading it this morning and there are no buds anywhere either.It usually flowers for months. I don't know if it's anything to do with it being wrecked last year by a particularly bad rainstorm 🤔🥺

I've never fed mine and it's always been fine. Thanks for the advice Katy, I'll give it a go 🥰 @gjones

You could always buy some colour to pop in there to get you through the summer and autumn - of course it would mean a trip to a GC… it really is upsetting when careful plans are scuttled. Hope you manage to resolve the problem soon. ☺️

I had a bit of a tussle with mine Jane, it had got really big, it was November and quite damp. All the bits I gave people have done well so not as delicate as I imagined😂

@pelly. Yes l will. I see you planted it in soil, well on you tube, the way l did the lettest was cut the stalk off and put in a glass of water about just covering the bottom of stalk. Like l said l had no luck. 😭😭😭

Wow you're a bit ahead of me. Funny enough @jadojado29 and I were discussing how far we are behind others on lots of plants this year which is really odd seeing how mild a winter we had 🤔

A lot of my plants are well behind last year Julie, but this has been in bud for a while @vec 🤔🤔

Just spotted one of the orange ones in flower. I'm about 3/4 done with the planting/shoehorning 😂

It named Indian but I've not seen it before here

I think think this particular one is named because of the colours.Peruvian Lilies come in a variety of different colours and originate from South America Jyoty @jyotu 👍👍

I’m finally getting to the stage where I’m not just looking at colour, but at the foliage etc. It’s only taken three years Urszula 😂😂😂 @ublaszko

😆😆👍 I started noticing foliage this year as I've been revamping my shaded corner and it dawned on me that foliage provides a longer season of interest than flowers. 😅 The downside is that foliage plants have less to offer for pollinators so I try to combine the two.

I’ve never taken much notice of Alstromerias before, my husband picked this out at a GC about three weeks ago Katy, and now I’m in love with them @gjones 🧡💛

Jane mine survived much better in garden lost all others year before in pots they've thrived in garden this year and it was my 3rd attempt with them 😄

I couldn’t believe Neil, he wandered off and bought it to me at the till, I was shopping for bargains and he comes back with a £12 plant!!! I’m not complaining though @Keely 😂😂😂

Yes they say to divide them every few years but I've left mine to become bigger clumps. I've got 2 of them. I have a few other orange and yellow ones which are in their first full year from very tiny plants. Hoping I can divide those in a couple of years and spread them around a bit. No winter protection needed either but I mulch with horse manure which feeds for the following year 😀
