What do you think Sarah and Elaine? π€ @sieveheadsarah @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom #aquilegia-green-apples

Definitely an aquilegia now I see the bottom leavesβ¦.πππΌ

The flowers are so beautiful maybe we just donβt notice the leaves π€ @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

I reckon thatβs it Jane & Elaine, maybe I launched some seeds about π€¨ itβs squished in with a large grass, I also checked the leaves and the ones that arenβt part of the flower stem are definitely aquilegia ππΌπ @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

It will be interesting to see if they are green apples ππ€

At last, I've been seeing everyone else's and now mine are starting ππ #aquilegia-green-apples #columbine-green-apples

Love that colour! I have one that I'm hoping will look similar when it's bloomed πππ

Thatβs very pretty. I have one pale pink one that I noticed was just coming into flower yesterday. Several more days for mine I think π€

Mine are still a few weeks away.

Wonderful choice Jane ππ

Me too Ash, I'm sure yours will ππ @daisyrozanne

I particularly like this one Jacqueline π I spotted a pink bud too on another one. To change to a completely different subject, how long do rhodochiton seeds usually take, I'm just wondering whether to persevere with them, it's six weeks now? π€ @awomanonabike

Most of mine are waking up now so yours shouldn't be too far behind Urszula π @ublaszko

Thanks Rula, it's such an elegant plant π @sabbanrula

I seem to have all stages of growth on mine at the moment, I spotted a pink bud on one yesterday and Black Barlow is about to burst forth, hopefully Nora won't be too far behind π @auricula

ππ

Thank you Susan ππ @novicegardenlover

Morning Jane, lots of blooms πππ

Gorgeous

Morning Jane, I've one of these that is so very close to flowering πββοΈπββοΈ

Morning Ange, itβs doing really well this year @anges ππ

Morning Jason, I grew these from seed about 18 months ago and theyβve really come into their own this year. Didnβt you do these at the same time as me? π€π€

Morning Jayne π loads of flowers there!!

Thanks Linda @greenhouse ππ

Thanks Katy, Iβm really pleased with them this year @gjones ππ

Ooo I have this one inherited with the garden Jane I wondered which variety it was..@pelly

Morning Jeremy, these are in the front garden and are doing much better than the ones in the back, but they are well worth growing @jpea ππ

Morning James, they are flowering well this year @bandicoot ππ

Sorry I'm clogging the feed but I have a few progress pics to upload. Aquilegia Green Apples, grown from seed in 17, didn't do very well last year but are coming into their own now ππ #aquilegiagreenapples #columbine-green-apples #aquilegia #columbine #green 3/5/19

Love itβs colour...ππΌ

Much better than last year Cyndi, if I manage to get any seeds I'll send you some @cyndi ππ

Thanks Elaine, I nearly ripped them out last year as they looked really wishy washy, but they're looking much better this time round @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom ππ

Pretty ππ

Glog away, that's a great one! I haven't heard of that before. ππ @cyndi I've been doing that a lot these last few days to try and update my plant list. Some of the plants haven't had a photo since last summer!

Thanks Urszula, thereβs still more to come and I have so much to update too. This is a really pretty one, if I manage to get seeds youβd be welcome to some @ublaszko ππ

I have this one, bought it as bareroot plant earlier in the year but I don't know if it will flower this year. I suspect I might have to wait until next year for the flowers. Thank you for the offer π

Another one to add to my wish list π

Some plants take a while to settle, hopefully yours will do well this year Elise @auricula ππ

Youβre welcome, I hope it does flower for you @ublaszko ππ

Itβs a very pretty one Dar, well worth a go @SikoMa ππ

Morning everyone. This is the first of my various aquilegias to flower, it shouldnβt be long before I have some more hopefully π€. Have a great day #aquilegia-green-apples #columbine-green-apples #mayflowers
Morning Jane - they're so pretty π€ππ€ I sowed some aquilegia ages ago and I saw the leaves the other day when I was tidying the border. I can't remember if it was this one or not - I'll need to check. π
Mine are Lime Sorbet - I sowed them in 2020. Still waiting for a flower π
Thanks Ange. Yours should flower this year then π€. Getting back to plant names these are never really green which is a bit disappointing @anges
I hope soπ€ You would think Lime Sorbet might be green but I think they're white π
Morning Jane, I love this one, Think I have lost my Norah Barlow againπ
Some more badly named plants π @anges
Morning Elise. Thatβs a shame, the ones you sent me never came back either π’ @Auricula
I lost the one you sent me too Jane - perhaps they didnβt like the postal serviceβ¦
Morning Jane .. I had green apples at the last house but as you say theyβre not green π€¨, my aqualegia all seem to look downwards like the hellebores π€£
Morning Jane. I seem to have lots of foliage only for now ππ
Morning Jane π€ Was not expecting these to be White?? Mine never came up π€·ββοΈ
