Clematis 'Josephine' (Evijohill)

I’ve moved this poor clematis at least four times but it’s looking really happy now and it’s first flower is just opening 🌸 #clematis-josephine-evijohill

Have 2 I need to move, but nowhere to move them too 🤔

Glad you’ve finally found the right spot. I need to find a new spot for 2 clematis. I’ve still got one in a large pot but no idea where to put it. Seems happy enough for now though

Only two flowers so far as this was in a poor state and I cut it right back and moved it last autumn. It's reached the top of the trellis now so I'm hoping it might flower later on 🌸 #clematis-josephine

I think so, but you have to check the height of the aquilegias as they can vary. I particularly like Green Apples for its height (even though they look white) I want to add Black Barlow to this mix as I think it will go perfectly 👌 @solly1961

@pelly I’ve seen the odd photo online where they look like mine but the vast majority are doubles. I think since it’s from Van Meuwen there’s a good chance it’s the wrong one. Disappointing

I know what you mean Jane. I bought five from Taylor’s for the front fence three years ago and they’ve never done that well. I see clematis on here and tv which are huge. Sometimes I think you can give plants too much attention.
