Clematis 'Voluceau'

Morning everyone. This is my rather pathetic entry for todays challenge #trellis. This is the only one of my clematises that has repeat flowered. I’ve had very poor and extremely disappointing year with them 😣 #clematis-voluceau

It's not just mine then thank goodness. I've fed them religiously but to no avail. It's so disappointing 😥 @juliesgarden

I have no luck with clematis normally. I have at least 10 different ones. The Montana was okay and I have one other that had loads of flowers. The rest have failed

It looks very healthy despite not having loads of flowers

3 of mine have under performed this year Jane ...hoping next year will be better 🤔🤞

My Clematis have decided to return this year, no frame anymore, so they're just scrambling over a Fern 🤷‍♂️ May have to move them later on??🤔

Oh I don’t know, they often look really good like that. I have a pittosporum I’d like to train one over. See what they look like before you think of moving them 👌 @hebelover

I use it on a lot of plants in early spring. It’s so good for strong root growth 👍 @italydiva

I’ve got some fish, blood and bonemeal…presume I can use that in the same way?

Sorry, I haven't got a clue as I've never used it. I use blood, fish and bone from late spring as that helps promote healthy flowering 🤔 @italydiva

No, I didn't try to bring any with me, have bought 5 more different ones since moving here, none flowered, dug up 3 of them and threw out, ready for a rechange, the metal arch is going, so no more Clematis, don't have the height anywhere for them (maybe just a Montana for the hedgerow 🤔) @pelly
