Morning everyone. I haven’t got any hanging baskets this year as I made the decision not to after the copious amounts of water I had to use last year, particularly during the heatwave. It feels strange not having them but my conscience feels better. Instead this is my #phlox-paniculata-sweet-summer-purple-white 💜

I only have one that I didn’t take down last year but it’s self seeded with lobelia so a bonus

Must admit they take a lot of care but I do love my hanging baskets, great coloured phlox Jane

Now that you’re into vegetable growing, Jane, maybe you should try tomatoes in a hanging basket next year. They’re so easy and the little Tumbling Tom ones are great!!! 😋

Morning everyone. Last autumn I moved my #phlox-sweet-summer-purple-white a bit further back from where it had been but I must have left some of the root behind as I now have a new one and it’s just starting to flower 💜

Thanks Joan. This is the first year since I've had this particular one that it hasn't had mildew. As soon as it started to grow I gave it a weekly spray with Rose Clear for four weeks and it seemed to do the trick 👍 @joannie.a

Delighted to see signs on mine as well. I bought them at Harrogate and left them in the pots 🙄 wasn’t expecting them to come back!

I think they are pretty indestructible Rach, this one in its first year got diseased and eaten but came back fighting. It was lovely last year so I’m looking forward to seeing it again this year. I noticed some growth on my other one too @rachelbrooks 👍👍

My Phlox has black spot, which has been treated now. I just hope it survives as I love it. 💜💜💜
