Morning everyone. The seedlings from the #pulmonaria-officinalis get everywhere. This is trying to grow in the gravelled area 🌱 #foliagefriday #common-lungwort

Morning Jane, the escapees are always the healthiest of the bunch with a we will not be contained attitude😂

Morning Jane. Oh bless ....another free plant though 👋😃💚

Morning Jane 💚

Morning Jane…..👌🏼🌱

Morning Elise, very true 🤣 @Auricula

Morning Pauline, absolutely 😍 @flof1952

Morning Julie 👋 @juliesgarden

Morning Elaine, thank you 🌱 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Morning Jane, you've got to admire its determination

And I've tried these from seed 3 times and can't get them to germinate!!😂

Morning Joan. I can't ever see it on the endangered list 😂 @joannie.a

Morning everyone. One of my pulmonarias is starting to flower. It's the first one so far 💗 #common-lungwort #pulmonaria-officinalis

Morning Jane 👌🏼🌸

Ohhh lovely .. I spotted a flower stalk on the one you kindly sent me Jane 😘

Morning Elaine 💗 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

That’s great news, I’m happy to hear that 🥰 @juliesgarden

No sign of mine yet. That’s you lucky Southerners!

Beautiful colour Jane, another sign of spring 💕

Not me, I'm East Midlands 😂 @jendren

Thanks very much Elise and Laura 🥰 @Auricula @columbiariver

I always thought you were Peterborough Jane -🙄

Peterborough is about 30 miles from me. I’m in the south of Lincolnshire 👍 @jendren

Think I need to revise my geography Jane 😂 @pelly

@joanboston this is the one growing under the front door 🙄 #pulmonaria-officinalis #common-lungwort #foliagefriday

Oh wow! It really is happy anywhere 😂

So it would seem 😂 @joanboston

I wonder if it will flower in the spring 🤔 @gjones

Odds on it will flower 🌸

The trouble is if it gets much bigger it'll get trodden on 🥵 @Auricula

You need a little cage round it for people to trip over and cuss!

What a good idea 🤣 @Auricula

I have one in the front garden that gets full sun and it seems to do OK Katy 👍 @gjones

My paint splatters never look that good

You have a good point there Joan 😂 @joannie.a

Love pulmonaria, such good doers and seem to thrive anywhere

Afternoon Jane .. that’s fab 💚

Me too Joan. I have one growing under my front door at the moment, I'm leaving it to see what it does 🤔😂 @joanboston

So is this one Joan 😂 @joanboston it’s been flowering for about a week 💙 #pulmonaria #common-lungwort

I used to call that Soldiers and Sailor💗💜

I’ve never heard that one 😍 @Auricula

I probably made it up😂

😂😂😂 @Auricula

Yuppers, Soldiers and Sailors is one of the common names for this one @pelly @Auricula -- not as icky as Our Lady's Milk Drops, another folk name #trueblue

We live and learn and I agree about our lady's milk drops, yeuk🤣 @emch

Thanks for that Eileen 😂. @emch

Beautiful. I thought, and was worried mine had died off but happily, I noticed it's flowering. I'm so pleased 💜💜💙

Morning everyone, have a great day. It was lovely to find a tiny flower on my Lungwort yesterday, I’m looking forward to it being in full flower now. 🙋♀️💞 #lungwort #common-lungwort #spottyleaves #pink #pulmonaria-officinalis

Morning Jane 😀 what a gross name for such a pretty flower 😂💖

Morning Jane. I have to say I always thought the same as Ange and the origins of the name bear it out. Leaves were thought to resemble rotting lungs so they were used to treat lung disease. Treatments like this were known as ‘sympathetic magic’. That’s my weird garden fact of the day (which you probably already knew 😉) @anges

Morning again Ange, it is isn’t it but it’s such an interesting plant with its spotted leaves and gorgeous pink and blue flowers @anges 💗💙

Morning Val, I’ve read about the treatment for lung disease but I’ve never heard of sympathetic magic, something to read up on later. Thanks for your weird garden fact, it reminds me that every day is a school day @valjones-hughes 😘😍👍

My red one is almost out too Jane, leaves on that are not so spotty

Can this grow in shade? 💖

Morning Jane 💝 have a fabulous Tuesday

Thanks for that Val - you learn something new every day 💖 @valjones-hughes

Good morning Jane ☕

@anges yes they grow well in shade

It's great to see them whatever their colour isn't it Joan @joanboston 😍😍

Morning Elaine, it’s horrible isn’t it @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom 💞💞

Good morning Jane pretty little flower.🤗

Morning again Enid, thank you @godfreye 💗💗

Isn’t that lovely. I’d never thought of the name being horrible tbh. Perhaps I should look up its origin 🤔🤓 Then again, perhaps not 😉😂

Morning Jane 👋😁

No, perhaps not Jacqueline, you don't need to be firkling about in dictionaries again @awomanonabike 😨😂😂😂😂
