The buds are coming on Zephirine, the only rose I have now. Summer Wine has gone to my mum's as it got too big for my garden and I don't know what happened to my peace rose but it's as dead as a dodo 🌹 #climbing-rose-zephirine-drouhin-bourbon

I'm really surprised and sad your rose 'Peace' has died as they're usually tough as old boots. I sure you've scraped the bark to see if there's any green

I was surprised too Jeremy and I did the bark scrape. The only thing I can think of is that it was damaged when my neighbour had a new fence put up as it was quite near it 🤔 @jpea

Morning Jeremy, it is isn’t it. Elaine @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom read or was told, I can’t remember which, to feed every two weeks which is what I’ve been doing and it’s made such a difference 👍 @jpea

I think it depends on how much and what you use, I use a 50:50 mix of Toprose & Q4 you told me about, feeding every 3 weeks or so whilst the buds are forming both the first and second flush @pelly

@jpea @pelly It was on the ‘Beechgrove Garden’ programme...apparently they tried it last year with much success.... I’ve religiously done it but I have found some black spots on one rose bush but all my others are still good..👍🏼🌹

I found that too Elaine, so I'm religiously picking off the leaves and making sure there are no leaves fallen. This was one of the points they made absolutely clear at the rose pruning course I went on earlier this year @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @pelly

I just use Q4 as it’s all I’ve got at the moment Jeremy.
