It's green!! It was very brown when I got it. #succulentid

One of the succulents I purchased yesterday. Purchased from a trolley with a honesty box outside of someone's house #plantid-succulent #succulentid

I'm not familiar with most of these but these lady's may know😊 @lovestogarden @jennlamaye @carolgs @lesliecole49 @columbiariver @aes239 @lilium @alovealoe

Possibly an aloe @Acetaker @petalsnthorns

Gorgeous. @alovealoe @hazec @succulentsplants Any idea?

Thank you for the help @Acetaker @carolgs @lovestogarden 😁

Sorry, don't know a thing about succulents

Looks young and sun stressed. I'm not sure. Give it time to grow.

Thanks for your help @alovealoe. It's turned green since getting it home. Do you know if that's a good thing?

@petalsnthorns, it should be a darker green, so yes, it's probably getting healthier. Maybe a silly question, but what is an 'honesty box'?

Thank you @kaigia good to know. When someone sets up a little stall with plants out the front of their house normally. They will set up an honesty box (money box) where they rely on peoples honesty to put the money for the plants inside there. So its a self serve for plants I guess :)

Yes is a black gem. The red/ brown colour is just a natural stress state. Mine is completely red from sun! Looks great :)

That's very interesting. Thank you @Alcurtis93 ours is green again, it's a pretty cool little thing! 😊
We've been lucky enough to be given lots of beautiful plants lately. This is one of them. Should we remove all of the dead parts? #aloe #aloeblackgem
I definitely would it will be so much more beautiful! An be healthier for it
I agree with @heatherdirtyhands by removing the old dead debris you will probably promote some more growth of the plant as well. Lucky you guys for being gifted such a nice plant
Thank you both very much for your help. I thought it'd probably be best to remove them, but I thought I better check. I agree it'd definitely look a lot nicer and would be a bonus if it encourages new growth. We are very lucky to have been gifted some beautiful plants @heatherdirtyhands @kylers 💗
Be sure to post the after pics
Will do 👍 do you think I'd be better off taking it all out and removing the dead parts and giving it fresh soil? or try and remove it all as is? 🤔🙂
