Wonderful trees- how long did it take for silk tree to get that big and does it flower?

It flowers most summers now, Sharon. No sign of blooms so far this summer, but they do appear very suddenly. I guess it’s been planted around 8 years now ... not completely sure.

This is the first time Albizia julibrissin has flowered in my Suffolk garden. I’ve had it for years so not sure whether it has just matured enough, or it’s entirely down to the warm summer, or a bit of both.
