This palm (Butia eriospatha) sulked for about three years after I planted it and I thought it would give up the ghost. However, once it settled it started to grow and is now developing a reasonable trunk. After winter, as now, some of the newer fronds tend to appear a bit yellow, but they generally green up when the weather warms up a bit.
Afraid not, sorry. It's not reached flowering size yet and I don't know of any other Butia nearby, so likelihood of fruit/viable seed seems slight. I've never tried Butia from seed, but they have a reputation for being difficult to germinate.
