Heuchera

I had a conversation with someone about these. What do I do with it when it grows up tall like a tower? Do I need to replant or cut back? There are smaller growths around the bottom I could use to replace?? Any suggestions welcome 😊🙏🏼👍🏼

The best plan of action is to mulch well or lift and replant a little deeper

I have the same with my purple one apparently you need to replant deeper but I worry it will rot. I've divided mine but I need to bite the bullet and try replanting 😞

@angiecrazycatlady that’s my worry too! I’ve pretty dry well draining soil though so I’ll give it a go with this one as a tester 😁🙏🏼👍🏼

You propagate them by taking off the little plantlets around the side so why don't you lift it, remove and pot up the little ones and then you could replant the original with some mini plantlets potted up too for insurance

Definitely replant deeper, it takes Heuchera about 3 years to raise out of the ground. It won’t rot @pixierose @angiecrazycatlady

How do change the name of a plant once you've named it?? This is supposed to say Heuchara??

Hi @pixierose - if you go to your plant list on you profile page, and then swipe your finger left over the plant name, it reveals an edit button which lets you change the linked plant to another one 👍🏼
