My Vanilla orchid has doubled in size. Just got to get it to flower now. 🤔😊

This is what I’m aiming for. Although my leaves look tiny compared to these. Can you see the green beans that will become Vanilla pods? Pretty Awesome 👏🏼 I never knew they came from an Orchid.
How cool is this!💘😍
Wow, I didn’t either 💚💚

My Vanilla Orchid has grown loads and seems very happy 😊
Looks great. 👋🏻Hope you are ok. Not seen you on here for a while. 😊
Thanks @bluefox23 I haven’t had any plants to take pictures of as the heatwave decimated my garden as I couldn’t water it. My physio has discharged me after 4 visits as the other side of my back is going the same way as my right and I have more facet joints in my spine causing problems. I’ve also got an enlarged bile duct so I’ve not been great. Thanks for asking hun 😊🙏🏼
Oh no! That doesn't sound good. Taking care of yourself comes first, even if it is hard to see the plants and garden suffer. 🙂
@pixierose Omg. That is something. Well done and get well soon.
Thank you @bluefox23 @Christos 🙏🏼
Growing beautifully. Keep well and enjoy your garden. 🦋🐨

The label showing the flower. I’m so excited 😆 I can’t wait to see the plant in full flower.
Lovely Christine where you going to put it
That will be beautiful not often you see yellow ones 💛💛💛 Happy early Birthday 💐🎂🍰🍷🍹
@tina I’ve put it on my windowsill for now as the sun isn’t strong yet but once it is I’ll have to change its position. I’m not quite sure yet where as I’ve never had this type of orchid before. I just pray I can encourage it to flower for me so I can experience the aroma. Imagining the house smelling of vanilla is something to look forward to. 😊🙏🏼
@tina @Keely @gjones thank you very much. 😊🙏🏼💖🌼
Have a happy birthday xx
@Tina Thank you Hun, I’ve a busy month of March. My 2 Sisters also have Birthdays, plus a nephew the same day as his mum on the 17th and my Son the 20th the day after mine. Busy, Busy, Busy 😊🎁🎉🎈
@Christos hello 👋🏼 I was wondering if you’ve seen this orchid and have any advice? I’m not sure where to position it is one I’ve never seen before. I have a picture as well of the foliage. On a previous page. 😊🙏🏼
@pixierose That is a very nice orchid. Keep in mind that from this plant we take the vanilla pods. It is a vine type grower so you will need something to climb. Need lots of humidity and the flowers are not long lasting.
@Christos hey 👋🏼 I’m sorry to hear you’ve had the flu. I really hope that you’re feeling better now? Thank you for the advice about my orchids. I never knew that vanilla pods came from an orchid!! I am praying that I can get it to flower. I’m misting and putting on a gravel tray to provide humidity. 😊🙏🏼

I’ve just received this beauty for my Birthday on Monday. A stunning orchid. Never seen one before. It’s described as Vanilla so I’m hoping that it has this fragrance. Thanks Mum 😘💋🙏🏼
@pixierose What a lovely gift.
@Christos Yes 😊I was so happy to receive it. It’s a challenge now for me to get it to flower. Any tips? 🙏🏼😊
@pixierose I don't know because I don't grow that genus. In general you must be patient.
@Christos thank you 🙏🏼 I can be patient. I’ve had orchids for a number of years and some I’ve had to wait quite a while before they decided to flower.
I’ve got loads of growth but no signs of flowers yet. Not sure what to do to encourage flowering. 🤔
Awe thanks Cyndi @cyndi 😊🙏🏼
@cyndi Mine has grown a lot but I think a warmer climate would be better. If I had a conservatory I think it would be happier.
