Please help me identify this plant #plantid This plant was doing so well at my old house. It wasn’t mine then, but I got donated it when I moved out, but unfortunately on my sunny balcony it hasn’t really been doing too well. I’ve now positioned it in the least sunny spot and hopefully it will recover a little bit! #fernpalm #sunburnt #advice #tips #help
@KelsiBriana yeah, can be pretty dry heat in the middle of summer here. Do you think misting it would help?
I’ll see how misting goes. Not sure I’ll be able to bring it indoors unfortunately! Hopefully the weather will go easier on it!
@KelsiBriana I’ve heard placing it on some rocks in a tray of water is supposedly meant to be helpful too? Have you tried this/ heard of it working before?
Okay, thank you for all your tips! @KelsiBriana
Asplenium grow in the depths of the rainforest. They thrive on dark area with as said before humidity. If the leaves are light it is normally an indication that it is receiving too muxh light.
@Gnomes thanks for that. I don’t really have much of an option for low light at the moment. Maybe I need to work on finding a shade cloth or something to drape over it to help it? I’ll try figure something out.
Do you have a covered patio or an outdoor table something so they are not getting direct sunlight
I found a shady enough spot for it, with a bit of rearranging. Unfortunately it was a bit too late and a lot of its foliage was lost. But it’s doing quite well now with a nice vibrant green upon its leaves!
