Hmm, I do think it's a cotyledon but doesn't look like orbiculata var oblonga
It's so close to flowering. May be just pigs ear cotyledon. Check the flowers to compare.
I just checked Google and that was the nomenclature for pig ear Cotyledon - C.orbiculata. same red orange Flowers and all.
You might be right on the var oblongs though. Not quite sure on the variety
Still trying to learn all this identification stuff. What do you recommend for learning identification?
