There's something humbling and almost magical about watching a tree that was once completely bare during winter come back to life, and not just survive - but thrive gloriously with lush thick growth that rivals the previous. It makes me think of how in life there are bare, dry, seemingly hopeless periods where we think all is lost.. But if we weather through our "winter", taking care of our needs still despite how despondent we feel, when spring and summer roll around we see new growth and life,

Early summer update: my poor bird's eye chili was completely bald after winter, and I had to chop it back to get rid of the dead bits. So happy to see it starting look more green again. Can't wait for some chili to fruit too.. I miss having fresh chilis!

My poor bird's eye chilli went completely nekkie during winter. Was worried it might be dead. But here it is, springing back to life. I love how resilient nature is. It really teaches us faith and hope even when see none. #birdseyechili

It's been a while since my last harvest. Blame it on the weird temperature fluctuations... #birdseyechili #chili

Finally we're seeing some red! Well, it's now or never.. Weather is starting to shift.. Autumn is almost here.
How old is this plant? And does pruning help them become more bushy? Mines just very tall and top heavy :/
@madkeeg I actually don't know how old it is.. It was a little tree when I bought it, and I've had it for amost two years. All the leaves fell of it last winter, and I pruned it till I saw green in the wood, and then it came back bushier in spring. I reckon cut it back in winter. Give it a shot and see if it helps?
