It's taken forever for this poinsettia to turn red, but red it finally is. Leaves are pretty small though. I bought this last Xmas and trimmed it back after the flowers dropped off. It grew back entirely green, and now it looks like it's preparing for a new Xmas...

Changing seasons. Caring for plants through the seasons is new to me (having grown up in Singapore where there is pretty much only one season all year round). I bought this poinsettia from bunnings a little before Xmas last year and it was dull of red leaves. Now, new green leaves have grown, and the red ones have almost all dropped off. Good luck! Or move up here where they grow outside and you don't need to do anything to have them turn red. 😉
