I'm hoping this Holy Basil will flower and seed nicely because I want to plant many many more holy basil plants! The taste of these leaves is simply the best for Thai cuisine, and even just throwing into a simple stir-fry at the end. I love basil so much!

And here we have my precious #holybasil which I got in the mail all withered and with only 2 leaves. I need to harvest it real soon, and also propogate it because one stem is not enough. How can I get a pot full of this!?

Quite pleased with how much this holy basil has recovered since I received it in the mail. I've even managed to take a cutting for propagation. Will harvest a few leaves soon to help stimulate more growth. Happy about those tiny baby shoots peeking out of the ground and near the base too! #holybasil #basil #gyo #herbs #herbsinpots #indoor

Healing. Looking better with each passing day. Tiny new leaves are starting to sprout, and it's looking firmer and healthier overall. I'm still wondering how to propagate or something so I don't just have the one stalk. #holybasil

"It is important to pinch tops of Tulasi plant when they are forming four or six pairs of leaves, this will make the plant grow bushier. Even the flower buds need to be removed when they appear. It grows more lush and full when seed production is prevented. It is also important to remove the faded, wilted or discolored leaves to encourage the growth of new foliage. Regular removal of old leaves and flower buds keep the plant healthy."

You've done the right things so far... Hopefully it may shoot from the base...

Tx @brightcolours. Good tips too. I will wait till this stalk stabilises and then try my hand at propagating to have additional plants.. I've done ok with my other types of basil so far.. But this holy basil was an online order because it's so hard to find in shops.. So I'm a little more paranoid about losing it lol

Most of the bigger leaves fell off the day I received it (online order), but I potted it up, gave it some water and a sunny warm window, and it looks a little happier already. #holybasil #basil

Now you've cut it back it should thicken up as it grows.

Quite underwhelmed with this online purchase from All Rare Herbs. Hope this sad little stalk of holy basil survives. I also have to find out how to help it multiply or thicken up. Tips anyone? #holybasil #basil
