I've learned a lesson about growing tomatoes. By the time I found my stride, my tomato plant was the weirdest, straggliest plant. So when winter hit hard, I pruned it back all the way to let it have a rest and hope for Spring restoration. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me, these two babies popped out of the soil.

They do best during the cooler months in the subtropics. #tomato #selfseed

Very happy to see new leaves and flowers on my lollipop tomato plant. Crazy weather (hot cold hot cold) a month ago killed all the leaves and I stripped it down to just the stems and branches. I love how nature is so resilient more often than not.
