@Acetaker I'll have to do these as seed for you. I don't lift them, they stay in ground all year. I cover them very heavily when they die back and they come back twice as large as the previous year. If you want to wait until further into fall I always split the clumps up and re plant, I could send you one as roots.
@Acetaker I don't mind at all. I usually do it at the end of september/beginning of October; depending on if the weather has started to cool off. I learned the hard way if you get impatient and lift to split too early with the late summer heat it will kill them extremely fast. I'll write it down in my little 'plant diary', just remind me when we're getting close to that time :)
Cool,I can't wait❣I've tried to start a list of my plants loving and lost(to try to find) Also, the seeds I've gotten on season to start etc. I'm getting there..hehe! I have got to get alittle more done since I'm going to have a small surgery on my left hand but grateful hubby is a flower and nature lover and will help me too.
Eww,I'm still looking at this. Im thinking of putting it where at my sitting area up front. Did u just mulch where they are in the pot or did u bring them in? @pretty_paws_29
They're planted in the ground with my other gingers. Gingers are pretty good with freezes, mine will take 2 or 3 before they die back. Then I mulch and wait until spring lol @Acetaker I haven't lifted and split them yet, I plan on it next week with the day lilies.
Jungle Jewles Ginger - also known as Dancing Girls or Dancing Ladies Ginger
