Iris foetidissima

Help me identify this #plantid please. I'm sure it has already flowered once this year. But it seems to be trying again as it has these big pods. Ah, unless the flowers were on the end of those pods. :-)

Could it be lilly? I have one they just started to open up.

Thanks for the ID @ianshaw, and for the other help. It is otherwise known as "stinking iris"; not that it has been living up to that name (thankfully!) :-)
