New #pitcher ..... older pitcher next to it. See how the older one is turning a darker color and Browning a bit? Totally #normal Older pitchers start turning and new ones start growing. When they start turning all the way down, you can cut off the older pitcher to make your plant look healthier. #pitcherplant-advice #pitcherplant

Whats it like growing pitcher plants?! @PunkyKy I've wanted one for years and my husband's Venus fly trap is flourishing under my care. I feel like since his Venus is doing good that I might tackle growing a pitcher plant!

They are so much fun! I am new to it ....as I am to venus fly traps too....but I seem to be doing great at it. They are low maintenance....they just have to stay very wet. You can choose to feed them yourself....but you don't have to. I would go for it! @demeterstouch If you have any questions at all please ask.

Great photo. I just read that here in Indiana we have a new refuge. It is centered around a pond that is very slowly turning into a bog. The edges have mats that hold bog plants including sundews and pitcher plants. It says it will take hundreds of years to turn the whole pond into a bog. I hope to take a day trip up there maybe in the spring. It said it had an approved handicapped trail around the pond, yay! Not that I'm excited or anything.🤣🤗

Kyla, it is called Pond 'Lil Nature Preserve and is inside Dallas Lake County Park. It was only made a nature preserve on 9/18/17 so I don't know how much info there is yet. If you give me your email, I can forward you the article I got.🤗
