Mappia foetida, a medicinal species endemic to the Western Ghats in India (#8 biodiversity hotspot). It contains camptothecin , an alkaloid used in the treatment of cancer. Endangered in the #wild, my specimen has been purchased from a licensed vendor (obvs). #medicinal #rare #unusual #mappia
