Not such a good morning, noticing these horrid little beasts on my rosebuds. Can anyone identify the problem?? #help #rose_help #advice #rose

I've hosed the shrub and blown the green things away for now..

Oh and there were ants all over the buds too!!

They are aphids . Either buy white oil or make up a solution of 1tbspn veg oil 1tblspn of washing up liquid to 1 litre of water put the mix into a spray bottle. Good luck

Thanks @sue1953 - I'll do it today. Only one of my roses has been affected but should I spray them all, for good measure?

I would only do the one affected but it wouldn't harm the others to spray them. Ants can actually attract aphids.

I use neem oil on mine when the aphids decide to snack on my buds.

Thanks @frontyardgardener - I have neem oil for my hibiscus, so will use it on these monsters :)

@brightcolours I have but without success :/ the garden centre had dozens of colours in this variety.

@latebloomer nope no perfume, it's like a hybrid tea rose. Small blooms. Sort of tiny versions of David Austin roses.

I've know idear but I'll always suggest The Royal national rose society as a good peoples to ask. @Pushkraj
