Just planted hopefully it will flower soon 🥰🥰🥰

Exciting times! Keep an eye on that red blotch on the leaf. Sadly some Hippeastrum/Amaryllis suffer from a microscopic fungus infection which can cause these types of redness (although it can also be caused by just a bit of damage). Hopefully it won’t get worse. In serious cases, they will look like this #redblotch

Oh thank you @richard.spicer.7906 I didn’t realise that I did wonder what that blotch was is there nothing to cure it ?🤔

Sadly no, most fungicides aren’t great at preventing it and have limited control. Once it’s bad it’s usually easier to dispose of it, although I tried something new this year and soaked the bulb in warm to hot water (no hotter than 42C) for 30 minutes as it may kill the spores. Mine looks a lot better but I would only recommend trying it once the bulb has gone dormant, not in active growth - the hardest part was trying to figure out the ten of the water as I didn’t have a thermometer 🌡 😆

How’s it looking now, I presume leaves must be greening up by now
@richard.spicer.7906 I don’t know if this is any better 🙄🙄 I snipped of the #redblotch to see if that would prevent it from spreading but I assume it’s going to 😞😞😞😞😞 #sosad
Leaves look to be turning a little more greener. Give it time, if that was the only bit then I certainly wouldn’t be worrying just yet. As i mentioned before, it can sometimes be just a little bit of natural damage, as Hippeastrums do go a little red along the edges where it may have been damaged. I wouldn’t worry about the bits round the neck of the bulb. Water it from below (in a tray perhaps or sink), avoid watering from above and just see how it goes. Fingers crossed it will be ok 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Thank you @richard.spicer.7906 I’m hoping so. It was delivered in a bag with the rest so perhaps got banged or whatever along the way I’m certainly going to keep my fingers crossed I’ll post pictures as it gets going 😊😊😊😊🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
