Clematis (Pruning Group 1)

My #clematis smells like chocolate 🍫 This has been flowering like this for 7 years and I have never noticed, surely I would’ve before now? Have a great weekend everyone, I can be found sniffing the clematis 😂

Do you prune it? If you leave pruning it too late, you're less likely to get a 2nd flush.

I do yes, it's like a triffid if I don't but maybe I pruned a little less and a bit earlier this year. I'll experiment a bit more next year! @awomanonabike

I think if you leave it too late you can end up pruning off the bits that would produce the second flush 🤔
