I love gardening, particularly wildlife and GYO. I have an addiction when it comes to buying plants. I only wish I could spend more time indulging!

Morning Richard. Had my little collection of HEUCHERA in pots but had the same problem. I'm sure you'll find a space for them 👋😊👍

Good morning all. Yesterday whilst reporting my beautiful heuchera ‘thomas’ I found the dreaded #vineweevil had ravaged the roots 😢 but on the upside, I now have 13 little heucheras 👍👍. Have a great day everyone.

They’re a right pain Elaine! Luckily though Heuchera are so resilient, which is why I love them so much 💚 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

I seem to read a lot on GT about these creatures living in alumroot pots🤔 Is it just in pots do you know? @Keely @awomanonabike

They can damage plants in the ground but mainly affect plants in pots. It’s the grubs that do the most damage, eating the roots of plants (not just heaucheras) over the autumn & winter. They are understandably feared 😱 @Denise16

@Denise16 in the past I lost one in the garden it I now treat all pots and heucheras that are in the garden twice a year and not lost any since we'll worth the investment of the vine weevil killer as I know it's not the cheapest of insecticides 😄

Eww horrid things, I'll have to get some killer as I'd be mortified if that happened @awomanonabike @Keely

Is it an insecticide Keely or biological? I don’t have them yet... @Keely

@rbetts25 he is looking very well at only 2 years old too ! The flowers will be bigger next year (not taller just fuller and bigger cups and more stems ) enjoy :)
