Fl. Zone 10a 🌱 I’m not a pro by any means, just a mom with a hobby. Succulents, veggies, and flowers are my current projects.

And then here’s my sweet, OG #gasteria !!! I have a few prop babies, but it also made a couple pups! It has struggled since I had NO clue how to care for it when I got it. It’s holding on strong 💛💛 #gasteria-oxtongue #succulents

3/31/19 so my #gasteria was originally potmates with, at the time slow-growing, aloes. Since they have absolutely taken off, I took out the gasteria and replaced it with my tiger tooth aloe. I now need a photo of that all-aloe pot, but in the meantime here is gasteria’s new home (including the small one seen near the bottom of the clump that I had separated and rooted). I ran out of rocks! While it’s clearly got tons of #newgrowth , it’s never been super happy. Hopefully now it will be!

I had to check on my #oxtongue because I was worried about rot.. I’d only just learned it was potted incorrectly with a plant needing water in summer (it’s dead though now...). But it’s supposedly summer dormant! Well, no rot, and the stress from the heat doesn’t look too bad. Especially since there’s some new growth! I removed a set of leaves and a pup to put in slightly different conditions. #succulent #gasteria #gasteria-oxtongue

Is my #oxtongue okay? It’s lost a lot of vibrance as far as color goes, and it doesn’t seem as plump. But it hasn’t shriveled or burned. I water it very little right now since it’s so warm. I’m worried I have it in too much sun. It gets afternoon sun which may be too harsh! Ugh! Always more to do in the #garden ! #gasteria #gasteria-oxtongue #gasteria-maculata #succulents #toomuchsun #ithink

Not looking too good. It was high time I repotted it. Better soil, good arrangement; hopefully it will start looking a little more vibrant again! #gasteria-oxtongue #oxtongue #succulents #gasteria-maculata
