The #pleiospilos-nelii in the foreground lost both old leaves, I believe from being previously overwatered because of how FAST and MUSHY they got. I don’t think they were far off from shedding though. I’ve checked roots. They look good. But it has some #edema spots forming I noticed today and yesterday. His mate in the back looks great. #pleiospilosnelii #splitrock #splitrockplant #splitrocks

I wanted to share this to show a CLEAR, VISIBLE example of when a #pleiospilos-nelii has had too much water. #splitrocks need very little, and this one had already drunk too much when I bought it. The right side is soft and plump, but firm to the touch. The left basically will tear like a wet piece of toilet paper if you just brush your fingers over. Water basically oozing out. (Btw it’s okay! The roots still look great) #pleiospilosnelii #overwatered #succulents
