Can anyone tell me why this banana from my #stringofbananas is purple striped? It had this little root and was alone in the pot amongst the other plump, green ones. I’m a sucker for single babies lol I’m hoping this beauty makes a whole strand! #senecio-stringofbananas #succulents

Or tears. Or fishhook. I see it goes by many names. This was labeled with #senecio-radicans-glauca , and I did my best going through the types to choose the ID label for this app. Anyway, it was soaking wet. I removed it from the terrible soil and found eight small strings!! Yay!!
