Astilbe 'Etna'. Photographed yesterday, 3 June 2017, at Reedie Cottage Gardens, East Scotland. Another Astilbe from my dad. Foliage emerges red in the spring and then turns dark green with a hint of red. Erect panicles of bright red flowers in summer. Just a hint of the colour to come, on the flower shoots.
