Astilbe 'Red Sentinel'. Photographed yesterday, 3 June 2017, at Reedie Cottage Gardens, East Scotland. I love the Astilbes that I've got dotted around the garden. I grew up seeing them in huge beds at my parents house. I got several from my dad several yrs ago. l love the colour of the foliage as it is tinged with dark red in spring before becoming dark green. And the deep crimson flowers in early summer, which are just starting to appear! #astilbe #redsentinal #reediecottagegarden
