Berberis thunbergii 'Rose Glow', looking good just now. I always keep this cropped close to the main trunk, so as to avoid the long branches (with spikes). Looks great as this shimmering mass of deep red/purple, among the green foliage of other plants. Photo taken today, 24 May 2016.

@reedie-cottsge So do I but I hate clearing up the pruning. It's torture like death by a thousand cuts but the shrub puts great colour in the back border.
