Chionodoxa gigantea ‘Pink Giant’. Photographed today, 27 Mar 2017, at Reedie Cottage Garden, East Scotland. Spring definitely arrived here in the Angus Glens, now that this beautiful Spring plant has bloomed. Lovely large pink flowers. This form has much bigger blooms than the blue forms of Chionodoxa. #spring #chionodoxa #pink-giant
@pelly Jane, the difference in size of this flower, compared to the blue form I have in the garden, is quite big. I must take a photo of the blue form, and also a photo showing a flower from both forms, so you can see the difference in size. I like the blue form as it fades from a bright blue to white as it goes to the centre of the flower. Lovely in clumps dotted around the garden, to replace the snowdrops 😀
Thanks David, please do, mine are pink and blue, and I've noticed that the buds of the pink are totally different from the blue. They were a supermarket purchase so not many details supplied lol. 😊😊😊

I love that David, I've got the Luciliae and they are pretty too. 💙💖💙
