Calamondin (Citrofortunella microcarpa). Photographed today, 8 April 2017, at Reedie Cottage Garden, East Scotland. I rescued this plant from a "sin bin" at a superstore, approx 4yrs ago. It was just some twigs, with a few leaves, it cost me 50p!!! It flowers regulary, and they are really fragrant. Fruit takes up to 12mths to ripen!!! They are really bitter, but can be used to make marmalade or in other recipes. For me, this is just an ornamental,in our kitchen. #calamondin #orangefruit #bitter
