Iris tenax (Tough-Leafed Iris). Photographed today, 3 June 2017, at Reedie Cottage Gardens, East Scotland. This Iris has large and showy flowers. The flowers bloom in late Spring/early Summer, and mine are a pinkish-purple colour with a yellow-gold throat. They come in various other colours. They only grow 20-35cm tall. The leaves are very slender for an iris, and grow in tight clumps, and often mistaken for a type of grass, when not in flower. #iris #tenax #thesecretgarden #reediecottagegarden
