Such delicate flowers. Reminds me of an incredibly compact heuchera flower spike. Very pretty against the dark stems

Got this last year after seeing yours. It suffered badly in the heat too and whilst it has recovered to an extent I don’t think I’ll be getting any flowers this year 😏

Looks like I might see this #actaea finally flower again 😀 - it was in flower when I bought it in 2015 but not since. I think it was too dry last year and they prefer a partial shady moist/damp home. This year I've been keeping it well watered and these buds will open up to lovely white flowers 👍🏼 #actaea-simplex #actaeasimplexbrunette

It's the first time I have tried this @DebsC , bought it at a flower show last year and really liked the flower and foliage combination 😁

Looking great. I thought I'd lost mine but a week ago I saw the first leaves just starting to peak out. It's now 6 inches tall and off at a gallop. Going to mark it this year so I know where it is.

Same here @vespa , was really worried I lost it as I split it before planting it last autumn - think it's just taken ages to wake up. Wow - 6 inches? Your one is definitely further ahead than mine 😀
