These have made slow progress, but they are still alive! Believe or not these are 18months old! 🤭🙈 I will repot them in the next couple of weeks with fresh compost (as this shown here is still 50/50 compost and perlite) - need to ween it off into 100% compost mix now, I’ll probably add some prop or fine orchid bark to keep it airy mix still #aeschynanthus #houseplant

More propagating experiments 😄 - I took these from a friends plant that she was growing in a hanging basket in her kitchen. I’d never seen it before but it’s #aeschynanthus-radicans ‘Twister’ , commonly called the Lipstick Vine due to how the flowers form. They were soft tip cuttings of about 4-5 inches, bottom leaves stripped and just sunken in a potting mix of about 50% perlite/50% compost. They have had a bag over them to keep the humidity up and I took it off just to take this pic.

The leaves develop this twisted nature as the vine increases in length. Will keep you posted when they finally root. These are about 3-4 weeks on now #aeschynanthus #aeschynanthusradicanstwister #houseplant #houseplant-propagation #lipstickplant
