Morning. Opening bloom on another of my agapanthus babies, it’s in its third year now but it has four flower spikes 😀. Agapanthus ‘Wembworthy’ #agapanthus #agapanthuswembworthy
Thanks Richard, my plants arrived bare root and are now about this size! I've put three into one 30cm pot, and fed them monthly and watered weekly when it hasn't rained! They've been about this size for about a month but grew quite quickly before that! Maybe they don't like the recent wet weather?
Quite possibly, and I think the recent weather has probably stalled or slowed any growth. I reckon if they still look quite healthy then carry on as you are and hopefully as we enter the warmer months they pick up again. I didn't realise you had three in one big pot so actually that's probably fine. 👍🏼 @bigemrg
Not sure if it will give you any extra info but Hoyland's has this care page on their website http://www.somethingforthegarden.co.uk/acatalog/Agapanthus_Information.html
Thank you! That's reassuring! They look very happy! The problem is that I keep comparing them to my Nerines which have shot away, and are over a foot tall now! 😁
Hehe! Well I followed your advice on planting the bulbs as last year I completely buried them and only got one flower! I crammed about eight into a 30cm pot, placed in full sun, and have basically neglected them since I planted them! 😀
