One of a few types of Allium I've bought. This is the only blue Allium available. It's a medium height, and the flower head is smaller then some other Alliums. The roots are already starting to form, and when planting keep the pointed tip upwards. They can be planted about 8-10cm deep and in full sun ☀️ I'm trying these in pots #allium #allium-caeruleum

I accidentally dug up one my new allium bulbs the other day and its roots were massive! It had only been in two weeks so I hastily stuck it back in again! 👍

I have some to put in so excited lol 😉😉

@justin 😱 it should be ok, and yes it's surprising how quickly the roots start to grow! I would probably have just poked it back in and pretend I didn't see a thing 🙈😂👀

@fuschia I've still got about another 100 or so bulbs to plant. Although i'm leaving my tulips till November which is what they recommend 😉

I'm all done with my bulbs I've literally run out of ground and pots 😂😂😂 and banned from the garden centre 😡😤

Question for you please should I keep my newly potted into bigger pots violets in the shed or the cold frame till I can plant them in the spring is there any difference between the two ?
