Another one from last night, but some fresh and better photos. This one is again quite big ancient - has suffered with a bit of scarring at the base - and has never flowered in my possession. Spines are a bronzy brown / yellow colour. Has quite distinct ribs. Checked my books and can't narrow this down. Any thoughts? 🤔 #cactus PlantID PlantID-cactus

I'm sure my nan had a cactus like this but never knows the name of them, she always used to say "she would make a good gardener "cry if they ever saw the way she did things 😂 sorry cant help with the name, and I don't think hers ever flowered either if it did it was once Ina blue moon

Not sure, but check out: http://llifle.com/Encyclopedia/CACTI/Family/Cactaceae/8651/Echinocereus_spachianus

Possibly a trichocereus species ?

I have an ancient one too, brown at base. Spikes are lethal

While I'm posting pics, he's another unknown cactus that I got years ago. Any thoughts? (Pic from last April 2016) #cactus PlantID PlantID-cactus

Yes, thanks anyway @gjones 🙏🏼 - this one is definitely harder to find in my book too!

So nice to see some people using good cameras on here! Thanks ha
One of the cactus 🌵 out in the polytunnel. The scarring is old, from before it came in my possession. No idea what one it is, attempted to ID a couple of years ago but nothing for sure. Hopefully more Cacti enthusiasts on GT now so if you have any ideas for me they are all welcome 😁👍🏼🌵 #cacti #cactus PlantID #cactusid #succulentsunday
It is Lin, it has ripped the fleece a few times too 😖 @linfoster
It sure is, wouldn’t want to drop it on my self 😲🤕 @columbiariver
Looks like a saguaro. A young one. @richard.spicer.7906
Holy moly!! I’ve just seen how big they get 😲😱🙈🌵🌵🌵🌵 @alysha
They don’t get their first arms until they hit 100 years old. @richard.spicer.7906 it’s Arizona’s state flower. They are illegal to move or cut down. You have to have special permits to do such. Their flowers are beautiful. @
I think I have this. Have neglected it pretty badly. Better pay it some attention.
@honestgreensco Steve, any idea?
@lesliecole49 its a cereus, probably cereus giganteus, aka saguaros
Thank you @honestgreensco . Did you hear that Richard? 🌵
Wow, thank you everyone. I didn’t even think you could buy that one in the UK - it does explain it though as it’s never looked any bigger in the ten years I’ve had it so clearly it’s a very slow grower! Don’t think I’ll be alive to see it reach it’s full potential then 😂🌵 @alysha @honestgreensco @lesliecole49
